Educational and Employment Programs:
Continuing the pursuit of a high school diploma or college degree is an integral part of the continuum of treatment at St. Christopher's. As we develop treatment plans with our residents, assisting the individual with completing their educational plans and goals as they relate to recovery is an important focus of treatment.
We believe the educational component of recovery is so important that we have a certified teacher on our staff. Success in education assists the individual toward success in life and we know that happy successful people have an easier time remaining sober than unhappy, unsuccessful people.
The treatment plan for all residents who do not have a high school diploma will include obtaining a diploma as a part of the criteria to graduate from St. Christopher's.
Residents who have obtained a High School Diploma and/or College Degree are required to maintain full-time employment in the community. Interview Coaching and basic employment skills are provided in the program. Residents who are attending school part-time may have the opportunity, with staff approval, to obtain part-time employment.
Clients who have completed other recognized and credentialed residential treatment programs are welcome to join us for Recovery Home treatment.
